MY COMMENTS: These dogs are not yet a breed
as far as the term breed goes. In order to be a breed the dogs must breed
CONSISTENTLY.
With the entrance into a breed registration organization
this will kind of stop folks from breeding outside dogs into the lines. If you
Google photos of this breed you will
see that some dogs resemble boxers, pit bulls, bull dogs, bull mastiffs and some are way out in left field.
I have seen some Am. Bulldogs, as a matter of
fact my neighbor has two almost identical Am. Bulldogs so I can safely assume that they are from the same litter. The female
is smaller and both are white with a tad bit of a cream color on an ear or over an eye. The male is taller standing the height
of a tall boxer and with similar stature. I would guess his size to be 26 inches at the shoulders. The female could be about
23 inches. The female has a funny bark, almost a whisper as she trys to bark out loud. Neither were socialized and as puppies
they were not to bold around strangers. They are pretty energetic and remind me of boxers in the way they 'bound' around the
five acres. The male is a very nice looking dog too.
The name BULLDOG reminds me of a more bullish
or bully type and i would never have known what my neighbors dogs were had i not looked them up several years ago.
That is about all I can say about them. If you
plan on buying one, i would say take a look at the parents and grand parents to see what your pup may turn out looking like
as too many are not consistant in looks.
