You may research those breeds mostly from the country of origin or through the large Registration Organizations which place
those breeds under the title of 'RARE' or Foundation Stock.

A Truly Rare breed of dog is any breed of dog that is few in number and hard to come by.
Since this site deals with RARE BREEDS OF DOGS WITHIN THE UNITED STATES, then any Rare Breeds that have originated within
America are celebrated here at this site.
New breeds are being created every day making the "rare" puppies available
in the beginning and then
as they grow in number, rare becomes normal.
